Life can be difficult at times
That initial first step towards seeking help can sometimes feel like the most difficult leap, but it can be the most rewarding and life-changing step that you take towards resolving your problems.
Just as we can sustain physical injury, sometimes our emotional wellbeing can be affected by events and circumstances. My aim as a Humanistic Integrative counsellor and CBT therapist is to provide you with the space and time to work through whatever is troubling you, within a confidential and respectful environment and without judgement. Together we can work to help you find solutions and coping strategies to restore yourself to a place of positive emotional health.
I am a counsellor offering Humanistic Integrative counselling and CBT therapy covering Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole and I have experience supporting individuals with anxiety, panic attacks, depression, anger, phobias, bereavement, trauma, addictive behaviours, abuse, domestic violence, bullying, low self-esteem, personality disorders, self harm, relationship problems, Asperger’s syndrome, lack of confidence, substance misuse, self-sabotaging behaviours, parenting issues, stress and more.
If you would like to know if I can help you, please contact me. There is no obligation for you to take things any further than that initial enquiry.
I offer a free initial telephone consultation where we can discuss your particular needs and see if I can help you. I then offer a reduced price first session so that you can get to know me a bit more, learn about how I can support you and make an informed decision about whether or not you would like me to continue as your counsellor.
During our first session, we would establish a mutually agreed contract for our work together. This will include an indication of how many sessions may be recommended based upon your desired outcomes. This counselling contract is flexible and regularly reviewed during our work together. Sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place at the same time each week, although I am also able to be flexible to your schedule where required.
I work with individuals on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period, with the aim of helping you to reach your desired goals.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and I work within their Ethical Framework. In my work with you I place great importance on respecting your autonomy and confidentiality, your right to be treated with respect and with your wellbeing as my highest priority. I commit to work with integrity, professionalism and sincerity. I also hold an appropriate level of insurance, available to view upon request.
I offer counselling and CBT therapy out of locations in Southbourne and Winton; these are in easy reach of Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch.
I also offer online and telephone counselling for those who are unable or prefer not to access face to face therapy

Initial session - a reduction of £10 off the session price
Face to face counselling/therapy - individual 50 minutes session - £50

I respond to nearly all enquiries within a few hours and certainly no more than 24 hours. If you have emailed and have not received a reply, please check your junk mail.
Sometimes it is unavoidable that you may need to cancel or change a session. Where more than 24 hours notice is provided, you will not have to pay for the session. Under 24 hours notice, the session is payable in full. Where possible, in either circumstance, I will always endeavour to accommodate a different day/time for that week if desired.
